Veteran featherweight Orlandito Del Valle (25-3) has advised BoxingScene.com that he will return to the ring on January 25th underneath the Danny Garcia-Ivan Redkach Showtime main event.  The triple header will be rounded out with former super welterweight champion Jarrett "Swift" Hurd battling Francisco "Chia" Santana and unbeated super bantamweight Stephen Fulton taking on Arnold Khegai.

The 32-year-old Puerto Rican returned to action last December after an 18 month layoff.  He has now won 3 fights in a row since losing an unanimous to Diego De La Hoya in 2016.

He was set to finish off his 2019 with a bang by facing former 2-division champion Carl Frampton in a ESPN+ co-feature bout.  Those plans were ultimately nixed when the Nevada State Athletic Commission rejected Del Valle as an opponent and Tyler McCreary ended up getting the assignment.

While his upcoming fight won't be as high profile, Del Valle is very excited to get back in the ring on a major card. He has been friends with Garcia since there amateur cards and is very grateful that he helped get him a slot on the undercard.

"We couldn't close the year with a bang like we wanted with the Frampton fight but we are opening 2020 on a big undercard and are aiming for a title run at 126 and we are open for anything at 130 as well.  I have known Danny for a long time and am very thankful that he helped me out and put me on his card," Del Valle told BoxingScene.com.

His opponent is expected to be finalized in the next week.
