Jalisco boxer Omar Nino, who rwice has twice been the world flyweight champion, will seek the crown for the third time in that division, and one of the steps he's taken for goal is to change coaches, and from now on we will see him training in Los Mochis with coach Manuel Montiel, father of bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel.

Niño decided to leave coach Miguel Angel Rangel and now goes in search of new horizons, after surprisingly losing the WBC light flyweight championship against Gilberto Keb Yucatan.

Montiel, who was an excellent fighter in the 70s, now runs one of the strongest blocks and forged Mexican boxing and trained several world champions. His squad is led by his son Fernando "Cochulito" Montiel, the WBO/WBC bantamweight champion. Montiel's squad has 14 boxers.

Omar Niño's record is 30 wins, 12 knockouts, 4 losses and 2 draws. Nino's goal is to reclaim the title at 108-pounds in a rematch with Keb or to go against Jose Antonio "Jaguar" Aguirre, who will challenge Keb Yucatán for the crown.
