Former WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev (38-7, 28KOs) plans to stay busy with a planned return in September. Maskaev, 44-years-old, returned last December after a three year layoff. He stopped Owen Beck in three rounds. Then he came back last Saturday to win a tough ten round decision over Jason Gavern, who dropped the former champion in the ninth round. Both of Maskaev's fights took place in Russia, which is where the boxer is building his comeback path.

"In September [I will return]. I don't want to stay idle for too long. I want to return to my normal form. I need to be in a training camp to spar with several sparring partners, not one," Maskaev said.
