Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth - In a junior middleweight scrap, Sam Eggington (34-8, 20 KOs) broke down and brutally stopped undefeated Joe Pigford (20-1, 19 KOs) in the fifth round.

Eggington busted up Pigford during the fight. In the fifth, he badly rocked Pigford with a heavy hook and then battered him with punches until the referee jumped in - and Pgford's corner threw in the towel at the same time.

In a battle of unbeatens, Olympian Karriss Artingstall (4-0, 0 KO) used her experience to outbox Jade Taylor (5-1, 0 KO) over eight rounds. The sole score was 79-72.

In a battle of junior middleweights, Lee Cutler (13-1, 7 KOs) pounded a ten round decision win over previously unbeaten Stanley Stannard (10-1, 4 KOs), who withstood some good shots in the fight. The sole score was 97-95.

Welterweight contender Michael McKinson (25-1, 4 KOs) continues to recover from last year's loss to Vergil Ortiz, with a seventh round stoppage of Lebin Morales (19-7). McKinson has now won three straight fights.

Featherweight Alireza Ghadiri (8-0, 1 KO) recovered from a second round knockdown to pick up a six round decision win over Jonatas Rodrigo Gomes de Oliveira (4-4). The score was 58-55.

Light heavyweight Lewis Edmondson (7-0, 3 KOs) secured a fifth round technical decision win over Petar Nosic (8-2). A clash of heads in the fifth generated cut over the left eye of Nosic, who was deemed unable to continue. The sole score was 50-45.

Heavyweight prospect Tommy Welch (11-0, 6 KOs) picked up a six round decision over Amine Boucetta (7-7). The sole score by the referee was 59-55.
