Former WBA welterweight champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs), promoted by Vadim Bukhkalov and guided by Elite Boxing Promotion, isn’t that successful in his latest fights. In April 2009 Nuzhnenko lost his title to fellow compatriot Vyacheslav Senchenko, and this July he was also defeated by Matthew Hatton in England. However, Nuzhnenko doesn’t seem to hang’em on and plans to continue his pro career anyway.

“I’m not going to retire at the moment. Actually, I’m planning my comeback at the end of February 2011. I would have been boxing already if it hadn’t been my participation in the “You are the Champion” show on Ukrainian TV channel. I don’t know my opponent yet but it’ll be a non-title fight, and it will be probably held in Russia”, said Nuzhnenko.
