Lightweight contender Rustam Nugaev will fight on August 15th at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA.

The only thing is Tony Luis will not be his opponent.

BoxingScene.com reported on Tuesday Nugaev will fight Luis in a scheduled 10 round bout. However, a source reached out to BoxingScene.com the same day to state Luis pulled out of the fight.

"The fight was offered to him (Luis), but his camp decided to turn it down," explained the source. "Nugaev will fight at Chumash and an opponent is being sought for him."

Nugaev is coming off a technical knockout victory after the fourth round over Marvin Quintero on March 7th. Quintero remained on his stool after the fourth round after suffering a significant hand injury.

The Russian-born Nugaev (27-6-1, 17 KOs), who resides in the Los Angeles area, has won his last six bouts in a row.

The August 15th card will be broadcast live on ESPN2's "Friday Night Fights." It will be the last telecast of 2014.
