An intriguing crossroads bout between Rustam Nugaev and Tony Luis will take place on August 15th, a source told BoxingScene.com recently.

The scheduled 10 round bout will take place at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA.

The fight will headline a Gary Shaw Promotions card and will be the final ESPN2 "Friday Nights Fights" telecast of 2014.

The Russian-born Nugaev (27-6-1, 17 KOs), who now resides in the Los Angeles area, stopped Marvin Quintero after the fourth round in his last bout on March 7th. Quintero was unable to continue due to a hand injury suffered in the fight.

Nugaev may be in line for a big money or world title fight should he be victorious on August 15th. He has won his last six bouts in a row.

Luis (17-2, 7 KOs), from Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, lost a 10 round unanimous decision to Ivan Redkach in his last fight on January 17.

The loss snapped a two-bout winning streak for Luis.
