Mexico's Osvaldo Novoa will make his second defense of the WBC strawweight championship against undefeated Thai, Wanheng Menayothin, on November 6th in Bangkok, Thailand.

"Gallito" Novoa (14-4-1, 9 KOS), conquered the crown on February 5th by knocking out Champion, Xiong Zhao, in five rounds, in Haikou, China.

In his first defense he won by knockout in eight rounds against Nicaraguan, Alcides Martinez, on June 28th  at the Entertainment Center "La Roca" in Epazoyucan, Hidalgo, Mexico.

Wanheng Menayothin has a record of 35-0, 11 KOs. He conquered the WBC youth title in the 105-pound division. He then went on to conquer the WBC International crown.

"When you go to fight on an opponent's turf, you have to win by knockout, to prevent  bad decisions. Up in the ring there will only be Menayothin and me. I will go with everything I've got and I am going to win inside the distance," Novoa commented by telephone at the end of his training at the Boxing gym Saul Alvarez in Guadalajara.

"I had already seen Menayothin fight, he's strong, but I like that kind of fight, because the show is better. I am preparing to knock him out because I have heavy hands."
