ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – Terrell Jamal Woods was durable, but Norman Neely out-worked and out-classed him in their six-round heavyweight fight Friday night at Bally’s Event Center.

The 31-year-old Neely (13-0, 8 KOs), of Paterson, New Jersey, won all six rounds on each scorecard to produce a dominant win on the non-televised portion of the Joseph Adorno-Hugo Alberto Roldan undercard. The official scores were 60-54, 60-54 and 60-54 for Neely, who has gone the distance in three straight fights.

The 33-year-old Woods (28-53-9, 20 KOs), of Forest City, Arkansas, has lost four of his past five bouts.

Neely’s victory occurred just before Showtime’s three-bout “ShoBox: The New Generation” telecast began.

In the previous fight Friday night, featherweight prospect Malik Nelson remained unbeaten by stopping Ernest Hall in the third round of a scheduled four-rounder.

The 22-year-old Nelson (3-0, 3 KOs), of Avenel, New Jersey, backed up Baltimore’s Hall with left hands for 2½ rounds before his right hook sent Hall to the canvas with just over a minute on the clock in the third round. Hall (4-2, 1 KO) got to his feet, but referee Mary Glover decided he shouldn’t continue and stopped the action at 2:07 of the third round.

Earlier Friday night, Dwyke Flemmings Jr. continued the strong start to his pro career by knocking out Assuan Jones Chatman just 20 seconds into their four-round junior middleweight match. The 18-year-old Flemmings (3-0, 3 KOs), of Paterson, New Jersey, hit Chatman with a right hand that made Chatman turn away from Flemmings barely 10 seconds into their fight.

Flemmings wisely unloaded a barrage of punches on Chatman, who seemed disinterested in continuing. Glover understandably stopped the bout because Chatman turned away and didn’t throw any punches at Flemmings.

Chatman (0-3), of Wilson, North Carolina, has lost each of his three professional bouts by knockout or technical knockout.
