Anthony Yigit´s next fight will be against Andrei Sudas at the Nordic Fight Night in Albertslund. The highly-rated 22-year-old (5-0-1, 1 KO) can´t wait to bounce back from the first minor disappointment of his career. In Kolding, only one judge had him ahead against Tony Pace, with the other two scoring the bout a draw. “I thought I had done enough to win the fight,” Yigit said. “But I will of course respect the decision and learn from my mistakes. I know what I am capable of doing inside the ring and plan to set the record straight as soon as possible. I´ll jump back on the horse and carry on.”

Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: “Anthony is a huge talent, a Swedish Olympian with incredible skills. The draw will not harm his career at all. He will get the chance to make up for it straight away. He knows what he has to do differently next time out. Can he dig it? Yes he can!”

Yigit is confident he will return to winning ways against Sudas (5-6-1, 5 KOs). “I saw his fight against Rashid Kassem, this gives me some leverage over him,” he stated. “I know how he is boxing and what his weaknesses are.”

BOLTON (Oct 31) – Hot prospect Haroon Khan (2-0, 1 KO) will step back into the ring in Blackpool on Friday November 15th against 20-year-old Bulgarian, Stefan Slavchev (3-8, 1 KO), as he continues his march towards the top.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist has made a blazing start to his professional career after making the leap into the paid ranks earlier this year, scoring a win over the tricky Brett Fidoe before knocking out Vincente Medellin in a sensational performance in Atlantic City.

As the younger brother of former unified world champion, Amir Khan, the talented super-flyweight possesses much of the same skill set, including his quick hands and thrilling combinations.

He now goes into battle in his third fight against a well schooled opponent in Slavchev, at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, leading the lineup in a stacked card that features no less than fourteen exciting bouts.

”I’m very pleased that my opponent has now be confirmed,” said Haroon. “Now I can start working on some specific things with my trainer Oliver Harrison in order to prepare for him. I know Stefan will be coming to get the win so I’ll need to be at my sharpest and make sure I’m ready. Training has gone great and I can see the improvements I’m making all the time in the gym. I can’t wait for November 15th because I’m ready to put on a great performance.”

Tickets for Haroon’s clash, which also features a jam-packed card put together by VIP Boxing Promotions, start at just £30 or £60 ringside. If you wish to buy tickets please contact Saj Mohamed on 01204535332 or email saj@premuk.com .

The full fight card will also be available online at www.vipboxing.tv .

The scheduled start time of the show is 7pm on Friday November 15 at Winter Gardens Blackpool.

UNBEATEN DARGAN AND BROOKS SET TO CLASH ON NBC

A pair of unbeaten lightweight prospects are scheduled to clash in the 8-round co-feature on the next edition of Fight Night on NBC, on November 16th. Philadelphian Karl Dargan, 13-0-0, 7 KOs, faces Long Island, NY southpaw Michael Brooks, 10-0-1, 2 KOs, at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, in Verona, NY. The bout will be nationally televised just before the main event, a 12-round heavyweight contest between Tomasz Adamek, 49-2, 29 KOs, and Vyacheslav "Czar" Glazkov, 15-0-1, 11 KOs. The fight will be broadcast as the co-feature during an afternoon presentation the popular NBC boxing series beginning 2:30 PM ET.

"Dynamite" Dargan, a member of Philly's Concrete Jungle Boxing Team, which is lead by Dargan's uncle and all-star trainer Brother Naazim Richardson, was an outstanding amateur, winning numerous National and International tournaments before turning professional. As a pro, Dargan has defeated everyone put in his path, and turned in perhaps his most impressive performance the last time he stepped into the ring when he scored a second round TKO of Edward Valdez at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, in New York. Recently Dargan served as chief sparring partner for Canelo Alvarez during Canelo's preparation for the Mayweather fight.

"Mike Brooks is an undefeated fighter, like me, which means he's not a walk in the park," said Dargan, "I'm sure he doesn't want to lose that 0 so I know he's gonna protect it with all he has." He added, "When things get heated in the ring and I step it up to another level, we will see if Brooks can rise to that level also, if not he will come up short, VERY SHORT!"

"Lefty" Brooks had success in the amateur ranks as well. He won the 2008 National PAL tournament by beating top amateur Allen Gary Russell. Michael turned pro the following year and zipped through nine straight foes. The only mark on his record came in fight number ten, with a 4-round technical draw against undefeated Juan Villanueva in March. However, Brooks bounced right back by defeating Joseph Perez, 10-3, in his most recent start.

"I feel very blessed and excited to be given the opportunity to fight a known, skilled, undefeated fighter like Dargan," Brooks said. "When I entered the amateur ranks for the 1st time Dargan was already #1, so he's a veteran and has been around rich competition. I would say this shows I have proven that I have what it takes - and Dargan will see for himself November 16!"

The fight between Dargan and Brooks looks to be an interesting matchup of young talent, a classic New York vs. Philly match-up. Dargan has more knockouts, but usually depends on his boxing ability to win fights. Against Brooks, he'll meet a fellow boxer looking to trade jabs and match wits with him.

The nationally televised bout is each fighter's biggest platform to date. So it is a sure bet that both will come to the Turning Stone Casino to not only win, but to impress everyone watching.

LONDON (31 Oct) - BoxNation's knockout November is set to pack even more of a punch with the channel adding super-middleweight supremo Andre Ward's crunch world title clash with undefeated Edwin Rodriguez to its star studded lineup.

The encounter sees the world's best 168-pounder, Ward, defend his WBA world super-middleweight title on November 16th in Ontario, California against the ferocious 28-year-old from the Dominican Republic, adding yet another mouth-watering matchup on the 'Channel of Champions'.

Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao's ring return against the formidable Brandon Rios in Macao, China on November 23rd and Queensberry’s Copper Box extravaganza on November 30th, featuring heavyweight hitman Dereck Chisora and former world champion Nathan Cleverly, are the other main attractions in a jam-packed November schedule.

And now, with the addition of Ward, regarded as one of the slickest and best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, BoxNation has yet again delivered a fight that will have boxing fans on the edge of their seat.

The bout with the hardened Rodriguez comes after a 14-month layoff for Ward, due to a shoulder injury, having previously worked his way through some of the very best including Chad Dawson, Mikkel Kessler and Britain’s Carl Froch, capturing the WBC, WBA and Ring Magazine world titles along the way.

"I'm excited to get back in the ring on November 16," stated the champion Ward. "The opponent is Edwin Rodriguez. He's a young, hungry, undefeated fighter who doesn't believe he can lose and it's my job to change his mind. I think he and his team feel like they are going to catch me slipping coming off of surgery and the layoff. I try to live like a champion. I stay in the gym, eat well, and don't abuse my body and this rest that I got was needed. I don't feel like the layoff will hurt me, I feel like it will help me. It allowed me to rest mentally and physically, and I want to show the fans on November 16 that I'm better than I was before I left."

After making a huge statement in his last bout, stopping Denis Grachev in the first round at the ‘Monaco Million Dollar Super Four Tournament’,

Rodriguez believes he has all the tools to cause a big upset. "Vince Lombardi once said, 'Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later, the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.' On November 16th, I know I will win," said Rodriguez.

Jim McMunn, General Manager of BoxNation, said: “It’s great that we continue to deliver the biggest and best boxing shows live and exclusive on BoxNation. The aim of the channel from the outset was to make sure British fights fans had access to the best fights from all over the world at the very best possible value. We are delighted that we have been able to add yet another great fight to our packed November schedule, this time featuring arguably the second best pound-for-pound fighter in the world in Andre Ward. With a host of names including Manny Pacquiao, Brandon Rios, Dereck Chisora, Nathan Cleverly, and many more also featuring, Christmas has come early for all boxing lovers.”
