Promoter Lou DiBella advised BoxingScene.com that he finalized a welterweight collision between Alex Perez (16-0, 9KOs) and Antonin Decarie (26-1, 7KOs) for his scheduled HBO tripleheader on September 29th at Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The WBC International welterweight title will be at stake.

"Alex Perez is one of my best prospects and I think it's going to be a great fight with Decarie," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.

The other two bouts will feature Orlando De Valle facing dangerous Vic Darchinyan for the vacant NABF super bantamweight title, and super middleweight Edwin Rodriguez taking on Jason Escalera in a battle of unbeatens.

DiBella's tripleheader took a hit last week when light heavyweight Zsolt Erdei broke his ribs in training and withdrew from a scheduled fight with Isaac Chilemba (19-1-1, 9KOs).

Light heavyweight Gabriel Campillo suffered an injury in training and withdrew from his fight with Sergey Kovalev (18-0-1, 16Kos), scheduled for September 21 on NBC Sports.

DiBella and promoter Russell Peltz discussed the possibility of matching Chilemba and Kovalev. The talks were unsuccessful - due to their respective network obligations. Peltz was unable to lure Chilemba to the NBC Sports telecast, and DiBella was unable to bring Kovalev to HBO.

Peltz is continuing his hunt for an opponent to replace Campillo. On the other end, Chilemba will remain on DiBella's card at Foxwoods, and clips of his fight will be shown on the HBO broadcast.
