Team Sauerland’s German contender and WBC International super welterweight champion Abass Baraou (6-0, 3 KOs) will fight on the international stage for the first time professionally at the ‘Rotunda Rumble’ in Caesars Palace Dubai on September 13.

The action packed evening, promoted by Ahmad A. Seddiqi’s Round 10 Boxing in association with MTK Global, takes place in The Rotunda at Caesars Palace, a stunning 500-seater venue that is an internationally renowned entertainment destination.

Following an esteemed amateur career that saw Abass win a bronze medal in the world amateur championships and gold at the European’s, he has moved quickly in the paid ranks. Since turning professional in April 2018, Baraou has won his six professional fights including victories over former World Champions Carlos Molina and Ali Funeka.

"I am really looking forward to my fight in Dubai and I would like to thank my promoter Team Sauerland for this opportunity,” said Baraou. “It will be my first international fight, which will help me to grow as a boxer and gain more experience.

"On top of everything, 'Caesars Palace' is a well known brand in boxing and the location in Dubai is top notch. I have been in Dubai quite often for vacation and I am really happy to fight there as well."

“Abass has made a name for himself in Germany during his first year as a professional boxer,” said Baraou’s promoter Nisse Sauerland. “He has fought six outstanding fights, winning two titles already and has showcased his skills to the world of boxing.

"Without doubt he is one of the greatest talents out there. He will gain a lot of experience during his first fight away from his home country and I am sure he will leave a mark on the international stage!”

Ahmed A. Seddiqi of Round 10 Boxing added: "We're delighted to have Abass Baraou added to our huge Rotunda Rumble event. He's regarded as one of the best rising stars in boxing and we can't wait to have him display his skills in Dubai.”

In the opposite corner will be Egypt’s unbeaten power puncher Abdelghani Saber (8-0-1, 8 KOs). Also on the card is a clash between Neslan Machado (16-0, 8 KOs) and Alexander Mejia (13-1, 6 KOs) for the WBA International super-bantamweight title, world-ranked Muhammad Waseem, highly-rated star Andrew Selby and many more local and international names.

EBU European Union featherweight champion Carlos Ramos is the latest fighter to earn a spot in the forthcoming #GoldenContract Tournament.

The Spaniard (11-1, 7 KOs) becomes the seventh fighter to be confirmed in the 126lb pool of the three-division competition, which sees 24 big names battle it out for three two-year, five-fight deals with a top promoter.

In November last year, Ramos battered Ibon Larrinaga – who had taken world amateur champion Michael Conlan the full eight rounds just sixth months prior - to a halt and became Spanish champion.

Ramos went on to seize the EBU crown by outclassing Razaq Najib in June and is delighted to be added to a list of featherweight hopefuls that already includes Ryan Walsh, Leigh Wood, Davey Oliver Joyce, Jazza Dickens, Tyrone McCullagh and Hairon Socarras.

As he prepares for the curtain-raiser at York Hall on October 4, Ramos said: “I want to say a big thank you to MTK Global and to Maravillabox for this amazing opportunity. I’m very happy to be in this tournament and I’m excited to fight in London on October 4.

“I know that I will arrive as an unknown fighter but I have two big wins in my last two fights and also good amateur experience. My goal is to win the tournament and take that big contract.

“I respect all the fighters that I could potentially face but I would love to have an all-Latino final against Socarras most of all.

“After my sole career defeat in the U.S last year, I changed my style of fighting. I’m now a very aggressive fighter so as well as wins, I’ll be targeting those KO bonuses in this tournament!”

News of the final entrant to the featherweight competition will be forthcoming in due course.

The draw for the #GoldenContract quarter-finals and semi-finals will be made at the start of each fight week.

22 year old Chilean Flyweight sensation Andres Campos returns September 7th to take on Ramón Velásquez the current Chilean National Flyweight Champion for the title over 10 rounds at the Gimnasio Club Mexico in Santiago Chile.

Velásquez (28 years old) the long time champion since 2017 from Quellon island in the south of Chile and has vowed to stop the prodigy Campos and stake his claim as Chiles dominant flyweight.

Campos opened up about the challenge for his first Championship attempt.

“ Ramón is very strong, brawler and It’s very difficult to land accurate the punches on him because he bend down his head a lot during the fight. 4 years ago we fought in amateur and I won easy, in the same weight.

I think this is my best preparation in my life. I’m working with CEF (centro entrenamiento funcional) they are giving me all what I need in my train. Physiology, chiropractic, osteopath, physic preparation, nutrition and of course support in everything what I need. I’m feeling stronger than ever in my life.  I’m very focus on that tittle”

Campos Australian based manger Tony Tolj discusses his fighters upcoming fight.

“Campos is taking a step up fight and that’s what I do with all my fighters, you want to be the best take on the best. Step by Step and when the time comes for the world title we will be ready and Chile will have their next world champion.

Andres has final word for his fans.

“To all the fans who will watch the fight will see a very good fight, I’m ready for 10th hard rounds and I will not rest until I get the belt. The title is mine and I will be the champion of Chile and then head to Australia for 3 months of sparring with World rated fighters Andrew and Jason Moloney, Billel Dib and Bruno Tarimo.”

Tommy Frank faces an unknown quantity when he headlines at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Arena on September 20, but the local fighter is excited by the challenge.

Already the Commonwealth Super Flyweight Champion, Tommy will take on Thailand’s Aran Dipaen for the vacant World Boxing Council International Silver Super Flyweight Title, live on Freesports.

Tommy’s Thai opponent only turned pro this year but has already raced to six wins, with just one defeat, and five of his victories have come via knockout.  Significantly, the 28-year-old also has a win in Japan, suggesting that travelling to the UK to take on Frank won’t be a problem for him.

Currently undefeated in 11 outings, Tommy, 26, has stopped three of his last four opponents, and the ‘Steel City’ man, and huge Sheffield United supporter, is promising another exciting performance to send his fans home happy.

Co-headlining on the card will also be Barnsley’s Josh Wale.  The former British Bantamweight Champion, and European Title challenger, is now operating at featherweight, where he hopes to add more belts to his career collection.

“Firstly, a big thanks to Glyn Rhodes, Dennis Hobson and Steve Crump for pulling this show and title fight together,” said Frank.  “It’s another belt, we’re laying the foundations and are heading in the right direction.

“It’s not just the belt that’s exciting me, it’s the opponent as well.  No one knows much about him, but we’ve had a little look and he looks pretty decent.  He’s only had seven pro fights, but I’m sure he’ll have had lots of Thai boxing fights, and he can punch a bit.  So, I’m really looking forward to it.

“Talking about fans, the support as always has been brilliant.  I love Sheffield, and boxing here, and I represent the city.  Boxing is an entertainment business, and in my last few fights I’ve shown I’m not a one-trick pony.  Earlier in my career I proved I could outbox opponents, but I’ve started putting my shots together now and have a fan friendly style.  I’ll put on another good performance for the fans; one that they’ll enjoy.”

The newest Samoan powerhouse on the heavyweight boxing scene, cement-fisted 6’ 5” slugger Patrick “The Magic Show” Mailata, will make his American fighting debut in just his second professional fight, this Thursday, September 5, 2019.

Mailata (1-0, 1 KO) will face Mexico’s Daniel Franco (2-1, 2 KOs) as part of the Final Fight Championship 40: Egli vs. Lemminger mixed combat-sport event being held at the Fight Dome located inside of Rio Las Vegas.

From a boxing family, Mailata was born in Apia, Samoa, but moved to New Zealand as a youngster. The 24-year-old turned to boxing in 2010 after an injury prematurely ended a promising rugby career.

After just two years of amateur boxing, Mailata lost a close decision to former WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker in the New Zealand National Olympic Trials. Among many other distinctions, he went on to become a three-time New Zealand national elite champion from 2012 to 2014 and a Commonwealth Games bronze medalist.

Mailata signed a promotional agreement with Vegas-based Epic Sports and Entertainment in June 2019 and has been training there for the last three months.

“Where I come from, this is the heart of boxing,” said Mailata of his American debut. “Everyone around the world wants to make it here in Vegas. For me to be fighting here in my second fight is an amazing feeling. I look forward to having bigger and bigger fights here in Vegas.”

In many ways, Mailata is not your typical heavyweight. In addition to his powerful punches, Mailata can also move with surprising agility.

“My team and I are working on harnessing my skills here in Vegas. I’m very entertaining in the ring and I can do things that seem impossible for someone my size. That’s why they call me ‘Magic Show.’”

“We’re excited to have signed Patrick Mailata to our Epic stable,” said Ivaylo Gotzev of Epic Sports and Entertainment. “He’s the one to watch of the new crop of heavyweight prospects. He’s a combination of Samoan strength and power with unbelievable natural athletic ability. He possesses the special talent that will take him to the top.”
