Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions revealed a lot of juicy nuggets to BoxingScene.com/NotiFight.com. Beltran recently had dinner with Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs), and confirms the boxer will make his return on September 14th in Las Vegas, likely against Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) for the welterweight world championship of the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

While the deal for Bradley is not yet done, Beltran appears confident it will get done. The Thomas & Mack Center has been mentioned as the venue to host. He says Marquez has no interest in facing Filipino rival Manny Pacquiao for a fifth time, this year or any year.

"I think Marquez does not have to face Pacquiao for the fifth time. Last December Juan proved that he is superior, that he is better than him," Beltran said.

Beltran says Pacquiao will return in the month of October, which Bob Arum of Top Rank previously revealed. But, Beltran says Brandon Rios is also a frontrunner, along with Mike Alvarado, to face Pacquiao. Both Las Vegas and Macau have been mentioned to host that event.

The new WBO/WBA flyweight world champion, Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada, who recently upset Brian Viloria to capture the titles, will make the first defense of his belts against the mandatory challenger Milan Melindo on July 27 in Macau, the location of Estrada's big win.

Beltran also revealed that Saturday's winner between Cristian Mijares fight and Victor Terrazas, who battle for the vacant WBC super bantamweight title, will make the first defense of that title against Armenian former champion Vic Darchinyan, who recently signed a promotional agreement with Top Rank. Darchinyan scored a big upset in 2008 when he knocked out Mijares in nine rounds. Darchinyan returns to action on May 18th in Laredo, Texas.

"Darchinyan's fight with the winner of Saturday's fight could be a great supporting [match] to the Marquez vs. Bradley event on September 14," Beltran said.

The Mexican promoter also stated that Hidalgo will host the flyweight showdown between former champions Edgar Sosa and Giovanni Segura, taking place on May 18th.
