Split-T Management has signed undefeated junior lightweight contender Erick De Leon to an exclusive managerial contract.

De Leon, 26 years old of Detroit by way of Sabina Nuevo Leon, Mexico has a record of 17-0-1 with 10 knockouts.

Before turning professional, De Leon was a three-time (2009-2011) National Golden Gloves champion as well as a Ringside World champion in 2008.  He also was a  2008 National Silver Gloves champion.

De Leon turned professional in 2012, and has amassed wins over Fidel Navarrete (8-1-2), Jose Salinas (10-2-1) & Daulis Prescott (31-4).

In his last bout, De Leon waged a ten-round battle with fellow undefeated top 130-pound contender Andy Vences which ended in a draw.

"I am very happy and blessed to join the Split-T Management family," said De Leon. "I am motivated, and I know we will do big things together. I can do everything in boxing. My preference is to be aggressive and make it exciting for the fans but it comes down to what I need to do to win.   Whether it is boxing or brawling, I'll do what I have to do get the W.  I am a gym rat, and I want to be the best, which means I want to fight the big dogs in the 130 pound division."

Friday night at the Amazura Concert Hall in the Jamaica section of Queens, New York, undefeated super middleweight Marquis Moore will battle Troy Artis in a six-round bout.

Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado has a record of 6-0, with four knockouts, and  will be looking to impress the New York fight crowd in his 2018 debut.

The 26 year-old Moore is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Zachary Bunce on October 19th in Atlanta, Georgia.

I can't wait for Friday night.  I am all about Perfect Pains Silent Victory (PPSV)," said Moore. "What I mean is that I had to endure a lot pain during this camp but it was perfect because everything that I did,  and had to go through will lead me to victory tomorrow."

"Marquis was one of the best prospects to come out of the 2016 class.  I expect a powerful performance from him tomorrow in Jamaica, New York," said Split-T Management CEO, David McWater.

Moore weighed in at 164.8 lbs while Artis was 164.2 lbs at Thursday's weigh in.

Moore served in the United States Army for three years before being honorably discharged. 

Moore, who is managed by Split-T Management, was one of the top amateur boxers in the country as he compiled a record of 140-15, highlighted by representing Team USA in many international events including winning the World National Golden Gloves as well as winning the gold medal in numerous national championships including the 2012 Armed Forces Championships, 2013 and 2014 National Golden Gloves, 2015 National PAL and US Olympic Trials Qualifiers.

Bensalem, PA—Miguel Cartagena will return home for the first time in over four years to face Carlos Maldonado, of Los Angeles, CA. in the eight-round flyweight main event of Xcite Fight Night 2 at Parx Casino® on Friday, June 29. The seven-fight card begins at 7:30 p.m.

Cartagena (15-4-1, 6 K0s) has had a tough run on the road the last four years and is looking to rebuild his career at home. Since last fighting at home, Cartagena has faced eight opponents with a combined record of 135-39-8. After facing guys like Brian Viloria, of Hawaii, Toshiyunki Igarasgi, of Japan, Javier Franco, of Mexico, and Timur Shailezov, of Kyrgyzstan, Cartagena is prepared to face another experienced opponent in Maldonado.

“I’m very excited to fight in at home,” Cartagena said. “It’s been about four and a half years since I’ve fought in my home town so it’s definitely a good homecoming fight and in an amazing venue. I am very eager to perform to my best ability and give the fans a good night of boxing.”

The crowd can look forward to a classic Puerto Rican vs. Mexican rivalry in the Cartagena-Maldonado match-up. This will be Maldonado’s second fight in the United States; the first 11 were in Mexico.

With a typical Mexican fighting style, Maldonado (10-2, 7K0s) is looking to bring the fight to Cartagena. ”I am coming to win, and it will be one hell of a fight,” Maldonado said.

Featured on the second installment of Xcite Fight Night at Parx Casino is Ireland’s John Joe Nevin, who always brings out a great crowd. Nevin (10-0, 4K0s) will box Zack Ramsey (8-3, 4 K0s), of Springfield, MA, in the eight-round lightweight semifinal.

The undercard for the June 29 fight card will be announced shortly.
