Super Middleweight contender Derrick "Take It To The Bank" Webster (25-1, 13 KOs) feels the time is now to take on the big boys of the division, but in order to secure a bout with a top contender or champion, he first must get by Oscar Riojas (16-9-1, 5 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico in the 10-round main event this Friday night at The Claridge Hotel.

The show is promoted by Mis Downing Promotions.

Webster of Glassboro, New Jersey has been working hard in the gym as he prepares for this most important bout.

"I have had an amazing camp, I have been getting great work and seeing different looks," said Webster, who has been working under the guidance of his long-time trainer Denny Brown.

In Riojas, he is facing a battle-tested veteran who has taken on seven undefeated opponents as well as 2 world title challengers.

"I know he has fought Brandon Robinson. Robinson is a close friend to me, and what I saw in that fight is that Robinson hit hIm with some good shots, and I don't know how he withstood them. Riojas came in after another opponent fell out for me. The funny thing is that he thinks that he can beat me, but on June 1st, he will know that he does not belong in the same ring as me."

Webster has been looking for a signature fight in the suddenly hot 168-pound division, and after this fight on Friday, Webster will be looking to make his mark.

"I am ranked number-5 in the USBA, so maybe someone for that belt or the NABF. I have to fight for the bigger regional titles as a pathway to the world championship. I have been kasking for Groves after he gets done with the WBSS Tournament or WBA champion Tyrin Zeuge. I would also like to take on WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez."

This is a special weekend for Atlantic City Boxing as the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of fame will have it's 2nd induction weekend, and may of the legends of the sport will be in attendance to watch Webster fight.

This last year has been rough, as I have been going through a bad situation in my personal life, but I have to thank Mis Downing, Roy Jones Jr., Ray McCline and my trainer Denny Brown to have helped me get through this. Last year, I had to choose my relationship, and then I lost it, but it opened up a door to get with Mis Downing Promotions and Ray McCline. It has helped me become 3-times the person. It has helped me in my acting career and my boxing career. Now is the time to show the world who Derrick Webster really is."

"I am 100% focused, and I am going to display who Derrick Webster is, and that is a guy who will put on a fantastic performance on Friday night."

Heavyweight Dan Pasciolla (9-3-3) won the New Jersey State Heavyweight title when he won a six-round unanimous decision over former world champion Imamu Mayfield on March 19, 2016.

The 32 year-old native of Brick, New Jersey signed on to fight Quian Davis (4-0-2, 2 KOs) this Friday night at The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, and was informed that the fight would be for the vacant title.

That was news to Pasciolla and his manager Rich Masini, as the pair believed that Pasciolla was still the champion.

"I have been waiting for a fight. I was in camp in Poland, and I am in better shape. My goal is to get in the ring, and show a different Dan Pasciolla," said the 5-year veteran.

When asked about Davis, Pasciolla is ready for his undefeated opponent.

"I know he did not have much of an amateur career. He is just another guy that I will be getting into the ring with. Experience plays a factor, and I bring much more than that on Friday. I have been working hard, and things are coming together,"

Pasciolla is not letting the fact the he is already fighting for a belt that he already owns get in the way of his preparation.

"I am not sure why there is a new title since I already am the champion, but I will walk out with 2 belts on Friday. It is very important because it represents my state, so it is a big deal to me. I do not do a lot of talking. I will do my talking between the ropes."

"This is a funny and crazy business at times," said Pasciolla's manager , Rich Masini. "Dan beat Mayfield for the state title, It is even recognized on Boxrec.com, but somehow, I guess that doesn't count anymore, but Dan will enter the ring with that belt, and apparently now we are fighting for the same title but a different belt. That aside, Dan will be fighting a tough opponent. Dan is used to being the underdog, but he relishes that role. Dan has worked very hard, and he has transformed his body and is in great shape."

"I am sure Davis has trained hard. I just think it is very ironic that the same man is fighting for another belt of the same title that he already owns. I have been in boxing for 30 years, so nothing ever surprises me. I am glad that Rising Star Promotions is giving us another opportunity. The reason that I manage fighters is that there is good men out there, and Dan is a great man, who will be ready for his opponent on Friday night."

Young knockout sensation Lewis Crocker is thrilled to earn another chance to shine on Michael Conlan’s homecoming fight in Belfast on June 30.

Irish boxing fans will flood the SSE Arena to welcome back Conlan – the former world amateur champion who has already wowed American fans in his seven professional fights to date.

A glittering undercard is full of storylines – with Jono Carroll rematching Declan Geraghty and Tyrone McKenna facing off with Phil Sutcliffe just two of countless outstanding bouts.

Local 21-year-old welterweight Crocker (5-0-KO5), who'll look to maintain a flawless knockout record as a professional, is simply honoured to be involved.

Crocker said: “I’m excited every time I fight no matter where the fight is. I still get the same buzz. If it’s in Las Vegas or if it’s in Belfast, a fight is a fight. This whole night is special though.

“Real boxing fans will appreciate what’s happening on this card. There are storylines absolutely everywhere.

“You’ve got Jono’s rematch with ‘Deco’, Tyrone McKenna and Phil Sutcliffe Jr’s rivalry finally coming to a head, Paddy Gallagher in a crucial fight with Gary Corcoran, Johnny Coyle and Lewis Benson putting unbeaten records on the line… The list just goes on and on.

“The one thing I can’t get doing is making any predictions, though. Although I hope to be able to be out in the arena watching some of those fights, I’ve too many friends to lose so I think I’ll just keep quiet with tipping the winners…

“This boom in Belfast boxing is class. I’m humbled to be part of it. People are stopping me and asking when my next fight is. I’m fighting on the undercard of headliners like Frampton v Donaire. Because I’m doing it at a young age, I’ll get used to it quickly.

“I’ve followed Mick Conlan his whole career. To be fighting on his card is an honour and this could be one of the best undercards Ireland has ever seen. There are so many rivalries and many are 50-50s. What a card.”
