CLETUS "THE HEBREW HAMMER" SELDIN (Shirley, Long Island 24-1 20KO'S) couldn't be more ready to make his ring return, back where it all began, at The Paramount, on February 28, at "Rockin' Fights."

Seldin is coming off the biggest win of his career, when he stopped multi-time world champion, ZAB "SUPER" JUDAH (Brooklyn, NY 44-10 30KO's) in June of 2019 at Turning Stone Resort Casino during the coveted Hall of Fame boxing event. Over eleven dominating rounds, Seldin hurt Judah badly in the third, finding success in relentless pressure, culminating in an eleventh-round stoppage as Seldin, an underdog to the former world champ, earned the NABA Super Lightweight Title.  With the victory Seldin entered back into the World ratings (#11 WBA, #12 IBF).

Making his seventeenth appearance at "Rockin' Fights," Seldin holds the record for most wins at The Paramount, the first of which came in 2011 with a quintessential KO over Rashad Bogar.  Seldin went on to have tremendous success at the Paramount, ultimately winning the WBC International Silver Super Lightweight Title in 2014, which he successfully defended three times.

In November of 2017,  Seldin would display his world class power on the national stage in a featured fight on HBO against ROBERTO ORTIZ (then 35-1-2 26KO's). Seldin pounced on Ortiz from the opening bell and knocked knocked him out in the 3rd round in front of an electric crowd of his "Hamma Heads" fans at the Nassau Coliseum.  Just one month later Seldin would make history as the only the third boxer to appear on HBO in back-to-back months, joining boxing legends MIKE TYSON and ROY JONES JR..

Seldin has fully recovered from a surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder which he suffered in the Judah fight in June.   Riding a three-fight knockout streak, Seldin looks to continue his rise in the world rankings in his return to The Paramount.  Seldin had this to say about his return home, "It feels great to be home where it all started. There is no venue like The Paramount, and I cannot wait to be back. I feel healthy and plan on putting on a show for all the 'Hamma Heads' who come out on February 28."

Seldin's opponent will be announced soon.

Renowned boxing manager and 2019 BWAA Cus D’Amato Manager of the Year Award Nominee, Peter Kahn continues his hot streak adding U.S. Amateur Standout Trinidad Vargas to his vast stable of world class boxers.

The 16-year-old Vargas, fighting out of Dallas, TX completed his status as an amateur with a record of 198-12, winning numerous national titles while fighting as a flyweight. With his birthday on June 19, the high school junior was too young to quality for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team.

Vargas will continue training in Dallas with his father Nick Vargas guiding him before heading to South Florida where he will be trained by Javiel Centeno at the Sweatbox Boxing and Fitness Center in Davie, FL.

“Trinidad has all the attributes to become a world champion,” said Kahn. “While he turns 17 in June, Trinidad has a style that is much more inclined to the pro ranks than the amateurs. I look forward to working with him and his father as we launch his professional career.”

Among the world class fighters also training in Davie, FL and working with Kahn are Amir Imam, Emmanuel Tagoe and George Kambosos Jr. in addition to top prospects Xander Zayas and Nikoloz Sekhniashvili and the recently signed lightweight Charlie Sheehy, direct from the 2020 Olympic Trials.

Stated Vargas, “I’m excited to get started, I’ve enjoyed my journey as an amateur but know that with Peter in my corner I’ll have the backing of his expertise while fighting as a professional. I’m going to stay in Dallas for a couple months working with my Dad before moving my training to Florida.”

The oldest of four boys, Vargas first took a liking to boxing at the age of six and had his first competitive amateur bout at the age of eight.

Included among the accolades for Vargas while he was an amateur are; Two-Time Junior Olympic Gold Medalist, Ranked #1 in Six Different Weight Divisions (114 lb., 110 lb., 106 lb., 101 lb., 95 lb. and 90 lb.), International Bronze Medalist, Two-Time USA Boxing National Team Member, Five-Time Best Male Fighter Award at National Tournaments and Under Armour’s Junior Boxer of the Year.

Tony Tolj and Dragon Fire boxing have announced they have signed 23-year-old Cuban prodigy “King” Raynel Mederos.

Boasting an impressive amateur record of: 145 fights, 111 wins having been part of Cubas's national setup from 2009 as he was selected as a cadet. The Jnr Welterweight won several national amateur titles in Cuba, 3 Gold Medals, 2 Silver and Bronze alongside multinational tournaments in Cuba itself and Brazil, Ecuador, Russia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic

The Cuban then made the leap to the professional ranks in 2019, currently 2-0 in the professional ranks. Mederos trains alongside Dragon Fire Stable mates WBA Fedebol Flyweight Champion Andres Campos and Ramon Mascarena at the World famous Libra Libra Boxing gym run by Chile’s Nico “Maverick” Martinez.

The Cuban opened up about signing with Tony Tolj's Dragon Fire Boxing.

“First of all, thank God for the opportunity to go to Chile and to be able to meet these wonderful people to whom I thank you for this beautiful opportunity that you have given me. This step for me being able to sign with Dragon Fire Boxing means a lot  for my personal life and my career as a professional boxer, Tony Tolj never stops working and gives everything to his fighters, under the Big Bossman I will be given every opportunity to grow as a boxer and as a person I am sure that with him in command my career will go far, such that I will achieve my dreams of  be world champion in different divisions.

“Together with my team, we are doing things the right way.  The first thing he made visible is to end all the light and super light division of Chile, I think it is an important step that I have no doubts that will be achieved.  After that I intend to win international titles that help me position myself as the great boxer that I am and be able to win a world title!  I will achieve it.

I think that without my team it would not be possible to achieve my dreams, with my Latino Wolf Pack teammates (Andres Campos and Ramon Mascarena and my coaching staff is important, their advice, support, etc. is like a family and together as a family we will become World Champions”.

Tony Tolj gave his take on his latest acquisition, "We are very excited to work with Raynel. I believe he will go right to the top in this industry soon and it was the right move for all parties concerned. We work with fighters all over the world and this will benefit Raynel and “The King” is very young almost a Prince so we plan to strategically guide his career and when the time comes, there will be a Royal Flush and we will say all hail “King” Raynel Mederos.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chile and they are some of the nicest, most humble people on this planet. It is an honor to represent Mederos along with "Latino Wolf Pack" stable mates Mascareña Jnr and Chilean National Hero Andres Campos.

I believe this will usher in a New Era and a Golden age of Chilean Boxing and there are some exciting times and projects we are working on."
