The Commonwealth champion Leigh Wood is one of eight world-level stars competing in the groundbreaking Golden Contract featherweight tournament at York Hall on October 4.

The event will be live on Sky Sports in association with Matchroom Boxing in the UK, on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank in the USA.

The incredible tournament features plenty of belts up for grabs, with the likes of British champion Ryan Walsh, WBO European champion David Oliver Joyce and IBF European champion Jazza Dickens also competing, and Wood has revealed the one title he has dreamed of winning for many years.

Wood said: “There are lots of titles up for grabs which is great, and I have especially wanted the British title since I’ve turned professional. I used to get photos with the belt when other fighters would have it, so it will be fantastic to win that and cement my name among the other big names.

“I’m getting excited now. Things have gone really well and it has come around fast. I’m ready to go and I’m flying.

“I’ve been preparing for different style and had a wide range of sparring which has been different. I’m good at adapting fast, and as soon as I know who my opponent is I will have my eyes on the prize.

“There are a couple of southpaws in the tournament and a few switch-hitters, but I’ll just focus on myself and make sure that I can be the best man I can be.”

Some of the best featherweight fighters in the world are part of next week’s tournament, with Ryan Walsh, David Oliver Joyce, Tyrone McCullagh, Jazza Dickens, Hairon Socarras, Carlos Araujo and Carlos Ramos also involved in the iconic event.

Brandon Robinson returns to main event status as he takes on tough Martez McGregor in the eight-round main event on Friday night, October 25th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The show kicks off a monster weekend for King's Promotions.

Robinson of Philadelphia has a record of 13-2 with nine knockouts.

The 31 year-old Robinson is a three-year professional who has wins over Brandon Clark (2-0), Ernest Amuzu (25-3) and is coming off a win over Devaun Lee on May 10th at The 2300 Arena.

McGregor of Maywood, Illinois has a record of 8-2 with six knockouts.

Highlighted in McGregor's resume was a win over previously undefeated Luis Jimenez (3-0).  McGregor is coming off a tough battle with undefeated Cem Kilic on June 15th, for which McGregor was stopped by the undefeated prospect in the eighth and final round.

In six-round bouts:

Damon Allen Jr. (15-5-1, 5 KOs) of Philadelphia takes on an opponent to be named in a junior welterweight fight.

Nain Nelson (13-4, 1 KO) of Philadelphia fights Roy McGill (6-3, 3 KOs) of Harrisburg, PA in a junior welterweight contest.

Nicoy Clarke (2-4) of Jersey City, NJ fights Angel Rivera (4-1, 3 KOs) of Harrisburg, PA in a cruiserweight bout.

Ryan Umberger (2-0, 2 KOs) of Philadelphia takes on an opponent to be named in a middleweight fight.

Rasheen Brown (4-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia fights an opponent to be named in a super bantamweight bout.

Rising Team Sauerland stars Leon Bauer (16-0-1, 9 KOs) and Patrick Wojcicki (13-0-1, 4 KOs) return to action on November 9 as both men look to further their World title ambitions with a victory at the Kuppel in Hamburg, Germany.

Bauer, the 21 year-old IBF Youth World Champion, faces German rival Toni Kraft (16-0-1, 4 KOs) in a hotly anticipated super middleweight showdown.

“I’m really looking forward to the fight and cannot wait to get back in the ring,” said Bauer. “I have many friends in Hamburg so it’s going to be a great atmosphere. We are both unbeaten so everyone can look forward to a spectacle.”

Kraft is equally excited and has implored Bauer not to find any excuses as he aims to prove he is the next German super middleweight king.

“I’m looking forward to November 9 as I want to show everyone who the upcoming champion is,” said Kraft. “These fights are what will make German boxing big again, so I hope Leon comes to fight and will not find any excuses.”

Wojcicki, the current IBF Intercontinental Champion, will meet Robert Swierzbinski (21-9-2, 3 KOs), an experienced Polish middleweight, who has previously shared the ring with current World Champion Chris Eubank Jr. and former World titleholders David Lemieux and Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam.

“I’m happy to get back in the ring,” said Wojcicki. “I am fighting an experienced operator who has faced World Champions before. It’s a good test but I want to go all the way to the top and Robert Swierzbinski will not be able to stop me!”

“I’ve already boxed three World Champions in my career,” said Swierzbinski. “I expect to have no problems with Patrick Wojcicki. I’m certain I’ll be the winner!”

Promoter Nisse Sauerland has praised both match ups, but is backing his fighters to get the wins and steal the show at the Universum event in Hamburg.

“Just one week after Leon Bunn faces Enrico Koelling for the IBF International title in Koblenz, German fight fans have another exciting grudge match to look forward to with Leon Bauer versus Toni Kraft,” says Sauerland.

“It will be a good fight but Leon is the technically superior boxer and he will do everything he can to take the decision out of the judges’ hands.

“The same applies to Patrick Wojcicki. Although he’s facing a very experienced opponent, he has big ambitions for the coming year. He’s already number 6 with the IBF and we will be aiming for the World title soon.

“Leon and Patrick are two of the future stars of German boxing and I expect them to steal the show on November 2 in Hamburg!”

All the action from Kuppel in Hamburg will be broadcast live on ZDF in Germany.
