Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that Showtime's June 8th card, featuring a welterweight war between Marcos Maidana (33-3, 30KOs) and Josesito Lopez (30-5, 18KOs) in the main event - will become a tripleheader at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

In co-feature, junior middleweight Erislandy Lara (17-1-2, 11KOs) and Alfredo Angulo (22-2, 18 KOs) will trade punches. Rounding out the tripleheader is a super middleweight slugfest between Sakio Bika (31-5-2, 21KOs) and Marco Antonio Periban (20-0, 13KOs).

Another card to become a tripleheader, says Schaefer, is Golden Boy's Showtime televised card on May 18th from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. In the main event, Lamont Peterson (31-1-1, 16KOs) defends his IBF junior welterweight title against Lucas Matthysse (33-2, 31KOs), with Devon Alexander (24-1, 13KOs) defending his IBF welterweight title in the televised co-feature against mandatory challenger Kell Brook (29-0, 19KOs).

Added to the above card is a welterweight clash between two unbeatens, as Shawn Porter (20-0-1, 14KOs) will face Phil Lo Greco (25-0, 14KOs). And Golden Boy's recently signed British Olympian, Anthony Ogogo, is slated to appear on the card in his second fight as a professional. Ogogo makes his pro debut on the April 27th undercard to Amir Khan-Julio Diaz, taking place in Sheffield.
