Nathan Cleverly is eyeing a domestic dust up with Carl Froch.

The 23-year-old is involved in a WBO light-heavyweight showdown with Karo Murat for the right to face champion Jurgen Braehmer on September 18 at the LG Arena, Birmingham.

And he believes victory could lead to fights against some of the biggest names in the sport.

But as well as a shot against American star Chad Dawson, Cleverly thinks that he could soon have a rival closer to home.

Froch has made a name for himself at super-middleweight, but might contemplate a jump to 175 pounds after his next fight against Arthur Abraham.

"I think most of the guys in the Super Six will be moving to light heavyweight once it is over and a fight between Froch and I could well happen, it is a fight I would love,” Cleverly told the South Wales Argus.

" I’ve got to get through this step first, but there are a huge amount of big money names out there and I can’t wait for what comes next."
