Natasha Jonas has had her next fight confirmed.

The former undisputed world lightweight title challenger has been out of action since losing to Katie Taylor back in May.

Jonas, 37, is an ex-Olympian and had previously been on Team GB before turning professional.

She was once the holder of the WBA International female title at super-featherweight and drew with Terri Harper in a challenge for the WBC and IBO crowns down at 130 pounds a year ago.

But since losing to Irish star Taylor on points over 10 rounds (96-95, 96-94 and 96-95) earlier this year, ‘Miss GB’ has been itching to get back between the ropes.

And now, after receiving the green light from promoter Eddie Hearn, Jonas can prepare to scratch the itch on October 9, exclusively live on DAZN.

She has been added to the supporting cast of the all-Liverpool affair between Liam Smith and Anthony Fowler in their home city, at the M&S Bank Arena.

Former WBO world champion Smith (29-3-1, 16 KOs) meets former Commonwealth Games gold medallist Anthony Fowler (15-1, 12 KOs) in a 12-round contest and the battle for Scouse super-welterweight supremacy tops a bumper card.

WBA female bantamweight champion Shannon Courtenay returns to action on the bill, making the first defence of the title against California’s Jamie Mitchell and Ted Cheeseman will battle Troy Williamson in a defence of the British title at super-welterweight, while James Metcalf and Kieron Conway –– both of whom have shared a ring with the aforementioned Cheeseman –– will fight for a title to be determined in the 154-pound division.

Undefeated Luke Willis fights Rylan Charlton over 10 rounds at super-lightweight and heavyweight prospect Solomon Dacres looks to move to three fights unbeaten against Kamil Sokolowski.

Fowler’s fellow Commonwealth Games gold medallist Peter McGrail, fresh from appearing for Team GB at the Olympics in Tokyo, will make his professional debut after ditching the vest and headguard and Blane Hyland will have pro fight number six alongside Steve Wood-managed Rhiannon Dixon, who was in action earlier this month and will be looking to extend her unblemished ledger to four outings.
