Jakarta - Indonesian #1, Darsim Nanggala won the Indonesian crown in the welterweight division after he defeated Indonesian #2 Dedy Kirauhe by split-decision.

Both boxers fought at a brutal pace during their ten-rounds of action. One judge scored the bout for Kirauhe while the other two judges went for Nanggala.

With this victory, Nanggala, who sits at the number-9 position in the OPBF rankings, lifts his record to 16-7-3 (10 KOs), while Kirauhe’s record drops to 10-4-1 (7 KOs).

On June 26 in Japan, Nanggala lost by decision to OPBF champ, Motoki Sasaki (WBA # 15), when he tried to capture the Welterweight Title.

The other scheduled main event, at super flyweight, saw Nouldy Manakane beat Hendrik Barongsay over eight-rounds. This fight was very attractive where both Manakane and Barongsay exchanged plenty of punches in each round.

In the fifth-round, a strong right hook from Manakane caught Barongsay flush and sent him to the canvas. But Barongsay quickly stood up and continued fight until last round. Manakane, the current Indonesian champ, sits in the PABA rankings at #5 and #10 in the OPBF, while Barongsay is placed at PABA #3.
