Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain would not advise Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) to travel over to the UK to challenge IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs).

Marquez, a former four division world champion, wants to capture a fifth divisional title at 147-pounds but the pickings are slim. Marquez and Nacho are not interested in facing Manny Pacquiao for a fifth time. The Filipino boxer owns the WBO crown. And Floyd Mayweather Jr., who easily dominated Marquez in 2009, holds the WBC/WBA world titles. That only leaves Brook, with a new IBF title around his waist.

Nacho told ESPN Radio that he personally had a very bad experience when he traveled over to the UK last May for Julio Ceja's fight with Jamie McDonnell for the vacant IBF bantamweight title. Ceja (27-1, 25KOs) suffered his first defeat, a twelve round majority decision. Nacho was unhappy with the officiating and the scoring, as one judge scored nearly every round for McDonnell with a 118-110 tally.

Because the scenario is the same, where a UK fighter is holding a title under the same sanctioning body, Nacho would request a neutral battleground - likely somewhere in the United States - if the two sides ever sit down for negotiations.
