One of the most anticipated fights this year, which takes place on the 28th of this month at the Arena Grand Oasis in Cancun, Quintana Roo - will feature Mexico's Jhonny Gonzalez, the featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), defending his title against Dominican mandatory challenger Elio Rojas, who also holds the title of "champion in recess" after losing the full title dur a right shoulder injury.

Gonzalez's trainer, Hall-of-Famer Nacho Beristain, is taking Rojas very seriously. Nacho considers Rojas to be the toughest challenge of his boxer's title reign.

"We know that Elio is a very technical fighter, boxes a lot, elusive - he will undoubtedly be more complicated for Jhonny's next defense of the title. [Rojas] will be quite difficult. He has a lot of resources and won a world title. We are in the gym, working hard in preparation for this fight," Nacho said. "It will be a great fight in the realm of putting together a strategy which is going to showcase Jhonny being very intelligent in the ring."
