JOSE PABLO ESTRELLA, from Argentina, will fight Panamian Vicente “El Loco” Mosquera, the WBA super feather champion, on May 12, at Córdoba, Argentina. The fight will be the most important bout of “K.O. to drugs”, a classic boxing show by the World Boxing Association.

Estrella, from Mendoza, will have Pablo Chacón, the former WBO champion, in his corner. Is a good boxer, who uses legs and arms in mood style. He has 38 victories (16 KO), 9 defeats, 1 draw, 1 ND. Estrella is named “Manzanita” (“Little Apple”); last year, in “KO to Drugs”, he defeated Renán Acosta at Caseros, Buenos Aires. This southpaw from Tunuyán, Mendoza –the land of Pascual Perez, Nicolino Locche and Hugo Corro- lost on Whyber Garcia at Panamá, October 1st, 2004, by points, Fedelatin belt.

Vicente Mosquera has made his entire career at Panamá, except when he defeated Yodsanan Nanthachai, from Thailand at Madison Square Garden. The fight was held on April 30, 2005. The Panamian has a pro record of 23 (12)-1-1, and will make the first defense of this crown. At the ring side, watching the fight, will be Venezuelan Edwin Valero, the number one official contender.

“For different reasons I couldn’t expose my crown until now, but I will show all I know about boxing; I have seen Estrella last year, when he defeated Renan Acosta: he is elusive and a good fighter, for real, but I know how to defeat him”.
