Al Haymon's vast stable of fighters just keeps growing. The latest addition is veteran lightweight Monty Meza Clay, who confirmed to BoxingScene.com that he had signed a deal with the influential adviser about two weeks ago.

Meza Clay is coming off a tough ten round loss to his crosstown rival, Rod Salka. The two battled on November 14th at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Meza Clay, who was previously with Iron Mike Productions, suffered two cuts early in that fight from two separate head clashes which has delayed his return.

As for when he will fight again, Meza Clay said - "March 26th they wanted me on but the particulars weren't set. So we're waiting on the next call. I believe they wanted me on with Rances Barthlemey (the IBF 130-pound belt-holder), he wasn't going to put his title up or something. It didn't work so I'm not on for that date.

"So it's looking like most likely April."

The 33-year old from Rankin, PA, has a professional record of 36-4 with 22 knockouts.
