Mexico's Juan Jose "Goofy" Montes returned with a KO win the fourth round of his fight against Filipino Richard Garcia, at the Sports Inn in Tepic, Nayarit. In the main event of a card put together by HG Boxing, Montes (22-1, 18 KO's) was throwing accurate shots at all times and trying to start a war.

A systematic attack to the body and face knocked put Garcia down in the third round. A clash of heads opened up a cut above Montes' right eyebrow. He continued to batter Garcia, busting his nose in the process.

The fourth saw Montes connect with a big hook to the Filipino's abdomen. He was able to get his feet but his corner threw in towel with his was dropped again from a combination attack. Montes retained the FIFA World Youth super flyweight weight (WBC) in his second defense.

In the co-feature, Edren Dapudong needed 2 minutes and 58 seconds to stop Mexican Jesus Jimenez, becoming new the WBC silver flyweight champion.

Dapudong (18-2, 10 KO's) jumped off the bench to put pressure on Jimenez who could not find the right distance to avoid being battered by the fists of the Filipino who waited for the opportune moment to strike a violent left which broke the jaw of the Guadalajara fighter, who fell with down in a lot of pain.

Jimenez made it up but Dapudong with put together some shot to the body to send him down again and this time it was for the full count and the fight was waved off.
