Mitchell Smith has announced his new trainer.

The Harrow Weald sensation –– who is promoted by Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions –– split with Jason Rowland after his sole career defeat to date in December, but the 23-year-old has finally ironed out a partnership he is happy with.

Smith, who dropped to 13-1 (7 KOs) when he was outpointed by George Jupp in a defence of the WBO Inter-Continental super featherweight title at Manchester Arena, exclusively live on BoxNation, has teamed up with Adam Booth.

“[I’m] [e]xtremely happy to announce [that] I’m training with [Adam Booth],” ‘The Baby-Faced Assassin’ wrote on Twitter.

“[We’re going to be] pushing my career to the very top.”

Booth, who most recently had a part in camp with Chris Eubank Jr., also works with the likes of former WBO middleweight world champion Andy Lee and WBO European, British and WBC International bantamweight titlist Ryan Burnett, among others.

“Mitchell Smith and I have decided to spend our time together to turn his talent into a champion,” he said as he moved to confirm the news.

A date for the return of Smith, who’ll fight under the tutelage of Booth when he once again laces up the gloves and steps through the ropes, will be revealed in due course.
