Colombian puncher Edison Miranda (35-7, 30KOs) feels very good about his chances to defeat British light heavyweight contender Tony Bellew (17-1, 11KOs) on September 8th at Alexandra Palace in London.

Miranda is training side by side in Las Vegas with WBC champion Chad Dawson, who also returns on September 8th. Dawson will face undefeated Andre Ward at the Oracle in Oakland, California.

"He's a good boxer, but he's going to be running. I know that he's going to be running. But sooner or later he will have to stop and then it will be [over]. I think they took the fight because they think that this is not going to be my weight [division]. That I'm not a 175-pounder and [the weight] will be in his favor. Last time I was in England I got a knockout in five rounds and I hope to do the same [with Bellew]," Miranda told BoxingScene.com.

Miranda returns from a February ten round decision loss to Isaac Chilemba. Miranda suffered a bad cut in the third round, from a clash of heads, and it affected his vision for most of the contest. While he refused to stop the fight when his corner became concerned over the injury, he admits that he made the wrong decision.

"I don't think about these things during the fight. After the fight I thought about it and realized that I made a mistake [by not stopping the fight]. I wanted to keep going because of the fans who paid to see a fight, but I think that I made a mistake," Miranda said.
