Four division world champion Mikey Garcia believes Caleb Plant is capable of pulling off a big upset when he faces Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in a full division unification.

Plant and Canelo will collide on November 6, with the IBF, WBO, WBA, WBC super middleweight titles at stake.

The contest, being carried by Showtime Pay-Per-View, takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The bout will mark Canelo's fourth fight within a year - with recent victories against Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, Billy Joe Saunders.

Plant, although undefeated, is a tremendous underdog in the contest.

Canelo has captured world titles in four weight divisions - junior middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight.

However, Canelo has had issues with boxers in the past.

He suffered his first and only career defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather in 2013. There were also some problems when facing Erislandy Lara and Austin Trout.

When he moved up to 175-pounds in last 2019, Canelo had all he could handle before knocking out Sergey Kovalev. The Russian puncher was able to find the most success by using his jab.

Because of his boxing abilities, Garcia could see Plant creating issues for the Mexican superstar.

“I think he does [have a shot at pulling off an upset]: anybody that can box well, and has the reflexes and the footwork has a chance against Canelo, because we've seen Canelo struggle in the past, with some fighters that are slick, and then can move around,” Garcia said to The DAZN Boxing Show.

“I think Plant has to fight the perfect fight every minute of every round, all the way to the twelfth round in order for him to win. Can he do it? You know, that's gonna be the question to be answered.”
