The fans of Ciudad Juárez are characterized for being some of the most loyal in Mexico and they came out in force at the Josué Neri Santos Gymnasium, to show their support for card being staged by Bxstrs Promotions in association with Promociones del Pueblo.

In the main event of the night, at super featherweight, local hero and world title challenger Miguel "Mickey" Roman (66-14-0, 49 KO's) collided with Daniel 'Zorro' Cordoba (16-11, 4 KO's) of Argentina.

Roman was pursuing his 50th career knockout, but the bout turned into a messy, dirty battle filled with head clashes, illegal blows, point deductions, and Roman chasing after an elusive Cordoba.

In his 80th fight, Román took home the victory by unanimous decision with scores of 98-88, 98-88 and 99-87.

In the co-featured bout of the evening, Bryan 'Niño' Maravilla' Flores (25-0-1, 15 KO's), who secured victory 25 and knockout 15 against Sinaloan Eleazar 'Tronco' Valenzuela (23-27-6, 19KO's), who only endured three rounds of damage in the super lightweight bout.

The fight was the first for Flores since his split decision win over Shinard Bunch from April in California.

Junior welterweight contender Pedro Campa (35-3-1, 24 KO's) from Sonora stole the spotlight with a bruising knockout win over Javier Franco in the fifth round.

Franco attacked Campa with all he could in the first, before Campa took over and punished Franco round after round - until he was unable to continue.

Campa snapped a two-fight losing streak, after dropping fights to Brandun Lee and Teofimo Lopez.
