World title challenger Miguel 'Micky' Roman is current training in Guadalajara, Jalisco; under the orders of coach Rafael Guzmán, with an eye on achieving new triumphs, and to execute the plan of returning to the ring once again in the United States.

Roman decided to return to the training discipline of Guzmán, because he assures that the way of working with the veteran coach is more suited to his style.

Guzman places a greater emphasis on improving the physical aspect and thus supporting the strategy to be followed, which in the case of Román, 33, is an incessant attack and a distinctly offensive style.

"I am very happy working with Rafa Guzmán. I'm ready for when my promoters tell me, I am more than ready to fight tomorrow if necessary, I feel great, mentally and physically ready for any opponent," said the border idol.

"Here I feel at home, everyone is a family that seeks to help and contribute, there is no jealousy and that helps a lot when it comes to such a long training camp. I would like a front-line opponent to show that I am ready to fight with the best and achieve a new world title opportunity.

"I am in a great moment of my life and that is reflected in the ring, I would like to fight again this year in Ciudad Juarez and then return to the United States, where the fans already know me," said the boxer with a 60 wins,13 defeats and 47 of those wins by way of the knockout.

Roman has been out of the ring since getting knocked out last November in his mandatory bout with WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt.

He has a tentative return date of March 16 in Mexico.
