Former lightweight champion Mickey Bey is eyeing a clash with former super featherweight titleholder Tevin Farmer.

The pair have openly jousted on social media, with multiple backs and forth occurring on various online platforms, with both parties openly agreeing to a lightweight showdown.

"We've both been champions of the world," said Bey. "And we are both at that stage in our careers where we need to sink or swim, there's a lot on the line in this fight.

"Tevin has agreed to the fight, so now let's see where it takes us. We're both free agents, so this fight is exciting as it has the possibility to land anywhere, on the best platform that would want it. So this fight is easy to make from a broadcaster standpoint and I know it's a fight that will have people watching."

Bey continued, as he elaborated on how he sees a potential clash with Farmer panning out along with his future plans.

The Cleveland native stated, "I see this fight as a good fight for me to get back in the mix and a good fight for the fans. It's going to be an entertaining chess match and I can't see any other result than a Mickey Bey victory.

"I'm taking things one step at a time, but I want a few more good fights before my career is over. I've always lived the fighter's life, and I'm in the fight game as a fighter for a good time now, not a long time."

Bey has worked with Haney over the last couple of years, and he gave his take on a potential 135 unification between Haney and George Kambosos Jr, who Bey faced in his last fight prior to training Haney.

The now Las Vegas-based lightweight gave his take on a potential unification clash. Bey stated, "I think Devin would be a convincing winner. I just really think Devin has the skills to show he's a superstar in this fight.

"I started working with Devin straight after I boxed George in 2019, so I'm excited to that fight happens for many reasons and I think it will be an unmissable event."
