Michel “La Zarza Ali” Rivera (23-0) is chomping at the bit to get a title shot.

The 24-year-old lightweight contender was last in action in March when he defeated Joseph Adorno via unanimous decision in Minneapolis. The bout was part of a Showtime tripleheader.

While he is open to facing any of the top fighters in the division, WBA word lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis is at the top of Rivera’s list.

Popular lightweight contender Ryan “KingRy” Garcia has also been calling out Davis the past few years. He reiterated his desire for a showdown with Davis last month after his one sided knockout victory over Javier Fortuna.

A Davis-Garcia fight is difficult to make for several reasons. One of the biggest being the different platforms that both men fight on.

For that reason, Rivera believes that Tank should forget about Garcia and face him next. Both fighters perform under the Premier Boxing Champions’ banner so the fight should be relatively easy to make.

“Everyone knows that Garcia is careful with who he fights. He has avoided anything to do with my name on multiple occasions. The world knows that Gervonta and Garcia are not going to fight each other,” Rivera told BoxingScene.com.

“What Gervonta should do is fight me. It is the easiest fight to make and I am ready to take his title. I am the best in the division.  I would beat Garcia, Gervonta and Devin Haney all in the same night.”

Davis last fought on May 28th, when he stopped Rolando Romero in 6 rounds.
