The action goes down later on tonight at the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas strip.

Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo will square off in a battle of undisputed champions.  The fight takes place at the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds and all of Alvarez‘s belts will be on the line in this Showtime produced pay-per-view showdown that is being put on by Premier Boxing Champions.

Charlo, who enjoys undisputed champion status in the super welterweight division, will be moving up two full weight divisions.

Even though Charlo naturally weighs less than Canelo, lightweight contender Michel Rivera expects a competitive fight.

While he has campaigned at a lower weight class than Canelo for most of his career, Charlo is naturally the taller and longer fighter.

“This is going to be a very good, entertaining fight,” said Rivera. “This is a fight where both fighters will have their moments.  Both will do well at different times in the fight.”

At the end of the day, Rivera does expect Canelo to leave the ring with all of his titles intact.

“Canelo has a lot more experience than Charlo at the championship level and he is used to this weight class and has done well in it. Charlo will do better than a lot of people expect, but at the end of the day, Canelo’s power, experience, and weight advantage will lead him to a decision victory,” Rivera told BoxingScene.com.
