Welterweight Michael Jennings (36-3, 17KOs) has withdrawn from Saturday’s British title eliminator against Gary McMillan because of a hand injury. Jennings ruptured ligaments in a knuckle in his right hand during sparring last week. He has to rest the hand for four to six weeks. He was set to face McMillan on Sky Sports in the chief support to Ricky Burns’ world title defense in Glasgow. Jennings has been out since last September's defeat to unbeaten Kell Brook.
