Whatever variables remain in their title fight, a lack of professionalism from either athlete was never on the list of concerns.

Wanheng Menayothin and Simpiwe Konkco arrived in supreme condition for their pre-fight weigh-in, both weighing in right at the 105-pound divisional mark for their strawweight title fight Friday afternoon in Chonburi, Thailand.

Thailand's Menayothin (53-0, 18KOs) will attempt the 12th defense of the strawweight title he's held since a 9th round knockout of Mexico's Oswaldo Novoa nearly five years ago. The long-reigning titlist—who turns 34 on Sunday—enters on the heels of a technical decision win over Japan's Tatsuya Fukuhara in their rematch this past May.

While much has been made of his glossy record trumping that (in win total only) of all-time great Floyd Mayweather's 50-0 mark, Menayothin still remains far off from the all-time strawweight divisional mark. Hall of Fame former lineal champion Ricardo Lopez has a firm grip on the 105-pound title record, having registered 21 successful defenses before vacating in 1999 to claim a title at junior flyweight. Mexico's Lopez retired undefeated at 51-0-1 (38KOs) and remains the standard to which all other strawweights are held.

It remains to be seen if a win on Friday does anything to remote Menayothin's current standing. Of course, his challenger isn't here as a willing victim.

Konkco (19-5, 7KOs) enters his second career title fight, his previous attempt marking the last time he's tasted defeat. A competitive but clear points loss to countryman Hekkie Budler in their Sept. 2015 title fight was followed by a current five-fight unbeaten streak. Konkco, 32, enters on the heels of a two-round No Contest with Joey Canoy in their cut-shortened affair last December, having seen a couple of opportunities fall through while awaiting his mandatory status to be enforced for this contest.

The bout will air live on Channel 7 in Thailand, and will stream live and legal on the network's official website.
