BoxingScene.com recently caught up with strength and conditioning coach Angel "Memo" Heredia who's stable of fighters includes Juan Manuel Marquez, Jean Pascal, Jessie Vargas and several other fighters.

Heredia has also started working with former super flyweight champion Marvin Sonsona (19-1-1). The 24-year-old Filipino now campaigns as a featherweight and has won 5 fights in a row since losing to Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in 2010. He avenged that loss with a split decision victory in his most recent fight.

Training so far has mostly been for stamina and endurance. Heredia said that they are just waiting on a date for his next fight so that they can put a plan together for his whole training camp.

"So far we have been in camp for three weeks working on his endurance. We are waiting on a date. May or April maybe," Heredia told Boxingscene.com.  "We are hoping to finally get a date and basically do what we did with Marquez. We want to establish him and learn about and work on him little by little. Once we get a date I will be able to project him for that particular fight."
