Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather is willing to entertain a cross-sport boxing match, but only if there is a tremendous amount of money on the table.

Mayweather, 43-years-old, retired from the sport in August of 2017 - when he came back from a two-year retirement to score a ten round stoppage over UFC superstar Conor McGregor - and the victory allowed him to walk away with a perfect record of 50-0.

The fight with McGregor generated the second highest pay-per-view buyrate in history, with over 4 million purchases.

Since that fight, McGregor has openly called for rematch. And unbeaten UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov, who also holds a win over McGregor, wants to face Mayweather as well.

In the fight with McGregor, the MMA fighter started well but Mayweather broke him down and eventually stopped him.

According to Mayweather, McGregor had no real punching power as a boxer.

"Conor McGregor can’t punch. He can’t punch," Mayweather told the Club Shay Shay podcast. "I was having fun. I was like, ‘ah this dude punches so soft, it’s cool. I didn’t take no punches, I still got my facilities… So why would I go out there and fight these young fighters – these young lions – and risk my health? I just say: your health is your wealth.

"So as far as me going out there competing against a guy like ConorMcGregor, oh absolutely. $150 million? Not enough [to get me back in the ring]. Absolutely not, my health is more important… you give me $300 million, absolutely. See, you have to make it make sense, I need to have my facilities also, still be sharp, be able to be agile, hang out with my kids, make smart investments…

"All those things are very important and play a major part in my life. [People say] 'you need to fight this guy, you need to fight that guy,' listen, they’re called eras for a reason. I had my time, I had my era, so it’s these young fighters’ era now. But it’s okay for me to go fight a Khabib or a Conor and pick up – with those two fights alone I could pick up $600 million. So that don’t hurt."
