LAS VEGAS - When one door closes, another one opens.  Fresh off his month-long experience on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather will meet privately with presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama (IL-D), as the Candidate makes a stop in Las Vegas as his ongoing presidential campaign continues to roll throughout the country.  The Senator requested the informal meeting with the boxing superstar and Las Vegas resident, as part of his efforts to garner support from elite athletes and entertainers whose support can make a difference in the eyes of the voting public.

"It is an honor for me to be asked by Senator Obama to meet with him to hear more about his campaign's message for our country," said Mayweather.  "I think if elected he will make a great President and I look forward to doing what I can to support democracy in America and encouraging everyone to vote."
