After his controversial loss to Zab Judah, junior welterweight puncher Lucas Matthysse returns to the ring on January 21 in Mendoza, Argentina, facing former world junior welterweight champion Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley in another event put together by Arano Box and Golden Boy Promotions, and televised throughout Latin America by HBO Plus.

The fight will be held at the Auditorio Angel Bustelo in the capital city of Mendoza. And also in the United States the event will be televised by Telefutura.

At 36 years, the American left-hander showed that he still has enough left in the tank to give headaches to most boxers and he showed it in August when he lost a close decision to Marcos Maidana in Luna Park.

Lucas, who in his last fight of November 6, lost to Judah, in Newark, but he did not stop training. Following the defeat he received his award as the Best National Boxer,which is awarded for the second consecutive year,by Uperbox (Union Boxing Journalists).
