The Jan. 26 card featuring a main event of Lucas Matthysse vs. Mike Dallas Jr. had 1,137 tickets sold and another 376 given away for free, according to figures provided by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Another 145 tickets went unsold.

The 10-fight card — held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and aired on Showtime and Showtime Extreme — pulled in a total gate of $116,925. That is an average of $102.84 per ticket sold.

Matthysee scored a first-round knockout over Dallas, bringing the increasingly hyped junior welterweight’s record to 33-2 with 31 knockouts and 1 no contest, according to BoxRec.com. Dallas fell to 19-3-1 with 8 knockouts.

Dallas was a replacement for Henry Lundy, who was unable to face Matthysse due to a dispute with his promoter.

Matthysse-Dallas did better at the box office than Matthysse’s previous bout in Las Vegas. Matthysse’s Sept. 8 bout with Olusegun Ajose — which was thrust into the main event after Devon Alexander’s bout with Randall Bailey got postponed.

Matthysse-Ajose sold only 377 tickets and had another 810 given away, for a total gate of $65,675. Another 1,336 tickets went unsold for that card.
