Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that the reason featherweight contender Matt Remillard was scratched from his scheduled appearance on last Saturday's "Top Rank Live" card from Atlantic City is due to the Connecticut native's impending imprisonment, stemming from multiple criminal charges this past January.

According to police reports, the 25-year-old Remillard was charged with assault in the second degree, breach of peace/threatening and criminal mischief. The recipient of the alleged attach was hospitalized with a head injury.

Remillard (23-1, 13 KOs) was slated to face Aaron Garica in the televised co-feature to Teon Kennedy-Alejandro Lopez on the card.
