Matchroom Sport Limited ('MSL') recently filed its financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2015, showing an impressive reading. MSL's profit before taxation for the financial year was £5,444,826, up from £3,964,460 in 2014. 

MSL had net assets of £19,074,632 as at 30 June 2015 (2014: £17,006,105).

Matchroom Sport Limited and its group companies (The Professional Darts Corporation Limited, World Snooker Limited and Euro Pro Tour Limited) reported consolidated profits on ordinary activities before taxation of £9,219,402 (2014: £4,308,245); this represents an increase in profitability of nearly 50% on the previous year.

The Group had net assets as at 30 June 2015 of £24,417,530 (2014: £18,781,320).

While the figures are for Matchroom Sport Limited as a whole, MSL did stage a number of major boxing shows, including ‘Rule Britannia’ at London’s O2 Arena in May, featuring three world title fights.

As previously reported on BoxignScene.com, these figures are in stark contrast to rival Queensberry Promotions Ltd, who reported a loss of £3.3m for the period until 31 March 2015.
