Buenos Aires boxer Martin "The Little Prince" Coggi (28-5-3, 15 KOs) surprised Mariano "La Pantera" Robledo (14-4-1, 5 KOs) with a first round knockout to capture the interim-Latino welterweight championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC) at the Sports Fray Mamerto Esquiú in Catamarca, Argentina. Coggi caught him cold in the first minute with a hard left and then followed up with a barrage to finish Robledo off.

In the other featured match, undefeated WBC Latino lightweight champion, Buenos Aires fighter Marcelino "Nino" Lopez (26-0, 12 KOs) retained his title by winning a clear unanimous decision over ten rounds against Colombian Humberto "Machine Gun" Martinez (26-7-1, 19 KOs).
