Mark Heffron set up a British title challenge with a stoppage win.

The WBC International middleweight champion is mandatory for Jason Welborn’s Lonsdale belt.

Heffron will be looking to get the fight for the prestigious title before the year is out.

But he warmed up nicely with a decent showing at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.

‘Kid Dynamite’ maintained his undefeated ledger, advancing to 21-0 with 17 early finishes, on the non-televised portion of the BT Sport-aired card topped by the WBO super-lightweight title eliminator between Jack Catterall and Ohara Davies, with a comprehensive beating of Ghana’s Aryee Ayittey after two minutes and 53 seconds of the fourth round.

Ayittey, who is from Accra, was dropped twice before the referee called a halt to proceedings and subsequently slipped to 15-8 with 12 early, losing for the first time by stoppage.

Meanwhile, CJ Challenger outpointed Bicester’s Scott James to remain undefeated.

The 23-year-old won every round  against the man who is now 2-5 to advance to 9-0 in what was his third outing of the year.

Elsewhere, Ryan Hatton beat Przemyslaw Binienda to add to his unblemished ledger and move to 4-0 with a 40-37 victory and Joe Maphosa got the better of Gyula Dodu over four by a 40-36 margin.

Raza Hamza returned from the tragic death of his brother Chaand with a win.

Hamza suffered the bereavement back in July and has been out since he battled through the grief to win every round against Sergio Gonzalez at London’s O2 Arena at the end of the same month.

Hamza, 26, from Birmingham, extended his record to 12 fights undefeated as he dropped Johnson Tellez twice en-route to a stoppage.

The ending came after a left-hook to the body, the same shot as the visitor was scythed down by earlier in the fight, with an official timing being recorded at two minutes and 39 seconds of round two.

And Callum Blockley outpointed Danny Little to kick off proceedings.

Blockley, from Leicester, is managed by Carl Greaves and added to his 2-0 ledger with a competent 40 points to 36 win.
