The international Oasis Arena in Cancun will host an intense conflict between Mariana "Barby" Juarez vs.  Irma "Torbellino" Garcia on December 17.

The event is presented by Promociones del Pueblo  in association with Pepe Gómez's Cancun Boxing, with the support of Cerveza Victoria, Playboy México, Oasis Hotels and Quequi Group.

Juárez, who has a  record of 43 victories with 17 KO´S, 9 losses and 4 draws, is among the first ranked of the WBC. She will be challenging Garcia, who's the WBC International champion. Irma's record is 16 wins, 3 KO's, 1 defeat and 1 draw.

IN OTHER NEWS: Ibeth Zamora is focusing towards the Diamond Belt of the World Boxing Council, but to get there she needs a gem of a defence victory over Serbian Nina Stojanovic.

"Roca" will make the eighth defense of his WBC light flyweight belt  against Stojanovic Saturday night in Torreón, Coahuila- a duel which  is also a stepping stone in the WBC Diamond belt contest, now At the semi-final stage.

"I'm absolutely determined to prove who is the best. I want to win  the tournament, but the first step is very complicated, so in my mind there is only this  fight with Stojanovic. Be assured  that I will my  best in the ring," vowed Roca.

At the last press conference, counting with the attendance of mayor Miguel Angel Riquelme, the Mexican said she was grateful to be present at this venue.

"I come prepared to face an unbeaten fighter who is determined to take my title. Our styles will combine so all fans will see a great fight," Ibeth commented.

The challenger said she is not here to have  fun in this city. She did not want to talk much, but she made it clear that her fists will converse.

"I'm happy to fight in Mexico, I do not like to talk so much. I'd rather demonstrate my ability in the ring. This fight will be a great experience for me. I'm delighted with the weather in Torreon, because in my country we live in eternal winter."
