Tampa, FL – One Punch Productions and Four Corners Promotions in association with Don King Productions present the latest instalment of Tampa’s “BALLROOM BRAWL!” series on Friday August 31, at the Tampa Westshore Doubletree Hotel.

Headlining the card will be undefeated and highly regarded super middleweight prospect Marcus “Too Much” Johnson (11-0, 8 KO’s). Marcus had an extensive amateur career with a record of 116-11 with 70 knockouts.  He also won the 2001 National Silver Gloves, the 2002 National Ringside Tournament, the 2003 Nationals, and the 2004 U.S. Championships in the light heavyweight division. Later in 2004 his father along with partner James Prince decided to turn him to the pro ranks under the strong promotional umbrella of Don King Productions. Marcus was previously scheduled to fight in Tampa on the July 6th One Punch Productions card featuring Nate Campbell, however his scheduled opponent Rowland Bryant (14-0) withdrew from the match at the last moment.

The evening’s co-main event will feature Marcus’ older brother James, a promising super middleweight with a 6-1 record, with all 6 wins coming by way of 1st or 2nd round knockouts. James’ sole loss was a disputed 4 round decision to spoiler Darnell Boone. It would appear that Boone has a fondness for anyone with the last name of Johnson, as he has faced 4 different fighters with that surname (James, Norman, William, and Ronald) and has been victorious in each bout.

The rock-solid undercard features the best and brightest from the Bay area and beyond. Scheduled to appear are fast rising St. Pete cruiserweight Willie “Blackout” Chisolm (4-1, 3 KO’s), St. Pete featherweight Kermit “Bazooka” Gonzalez (5-0-1, 3 KO’s), Tampa jr. welterweight Marcus “Combo” Broadnax (3-2-2, 2 KO’s), Tarpon Springs jr. middleweight Manny “The Greek” Cortessis (1-0, 1 KO), and 2 additional bouts to be announced.

Tickets are priced at  $20, $35, and $75, and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets. For more information, visit www.onepunch.net, or call 813-503-8109.
