Marco Huck and undefeated Mairis Briedis will face clash for the WBC interim-cruiserweight title on April 1 in Germany.

The fight was ordered to take place because the current WBC cruiserweight champion, Tony Bellew, moved up to face former champion David Haye on March 4 in London. Bellew stopped Haye in the eleventh round and there is indication if he will ever return to cruiserweight.

Huck, who has the IBO world title around his waist, has fought 44 professional fights, with 40 victories, 27 KO´s, 3 defeats and 1 draw. On November 19th, he defeated Ukrainian Dmytro Kutscher by unanimous decision.

1-) You are going to fight with Briedis and attempt to capture the WBC belt that your idol Muhammad Ali once held. You made a great comeback after the Glowacki loss Would you talk about the match in America and the process of returning?

Marco Huck: The important point for my matches is that I am well prepared, because then nobody but myself can defeat me.

2-) You are tied for the record of defending the WBO title. In this process you had a controversial WBA title match with Povetkin at heavyweight . Finally, we see that Povetkin couldn't pass two doping tests last year. Do you feel yourself deceived. How do you view the doping issue?

MH: I feel disadvantaged because I'm a clean sportsman. I appeal to all athletes to carry out their sport in a clean manner.

3-)You said you looking forward to having unification bouts. You beat Denis Lebedev, one of the most important names in the division. There are also names like Usyk, Gassiev, and Bellew who are other big names in your division. Do you have a certain goal among these names? What's your ultimately aim?

MH: I'm a very good athlete. I love the athletic competition. I would get in there with everyone.

4-)You recently started to work with Turkish coaches Oktay Urkal and Vural Vekilo?lu. How did you come to this decision? We know that Turkish-Bosnian relations are good. Are your cultural affinities reflected in your work?

MH: Both have a good reputation in the German boxing world. So I decided on them. Our work was made easier through the fact that we have a good understanding and there are cultural similarities. Our mentality is the same.

5-)You were born in Sjenica, a Serbian city. You are moving to Germany at 8 years old. How do you remember this process? How was your adaptation process?

MH: I remember it very well. We are Bosnjak (Ottoman) a Muslim minority that live in Serbia. I'm very grateful that Germany has accepted us. Thanks to Germany I am where I am now.

6-)How did you start boxing when basketball and football were so popular among the Bosniaks?

MH: I tried many sports but boxing is my passion! I live for boxing. I wanted myself to stand out and not to do the same thing as everyone else.

7-)If you could pick the brain of any fighter in history, who would that be?

MH: It would be Muhammad Ali.

8-) What is the one thing that’s toughest for you to give up when training? I know Bosnian foods are amazing. I've tried some in Sarajevo.

MH: When it 's hard for me to train, I think of my uncle. He always said to me 'boy, think in your head that it must be done, then it will be easier.' I know that the Bosnian food is amazing.

9-) If you were not a boxer What would you be ?

MH: Politician.

10-)What is the one thing about the life of a pro boxer that the general public doesn’t understand?

MH: The general public doesn’t understand that it is the most beautiful sport in the world, from head to toe.

11-)If you could have met with four people in the history of the world, who would be on your list?

MH: 1. Fatih Sultan Mehmet 2. Rocky Marciano 3. Robert de Niro 4. Two brothers Mujo and Halil

12-) I know you are cinema fan. Who is your favourite actor?

MH: My favorite actor  is Robert de Niro
