Guadalajara, Jalisco - The six-time world champion in three divisions, Marco Antonio Barrera, will return on Saturday February 12 at the Olympic Coliseum in the University of Guadalajara, which is going to be promoted by Zanfer and broadcast by TV Azteca. Barrera (66-7-0, 43 KOs) faces the US-based Dominican Jose Arias (15-1-0, 9 KOs).

In June 2010, Barrera ended a break of more than a year by winning a unanimous decision over Brazilian Adailton De Jesus, and is now putting the finishing touches on his preparation to climb into the ring in Guadalajara, where he will face an opponent of experience.

Arias returned to the ring in 2010 after a long absence and had seven fights, all in Costa Rica, and won all six of them in the first round and the other in the second, so he is a fighter who goes on connecting punches from the opening bell and with great power in his knuckles.

Barrera wants to get that fourth world championship, so he can not afford to lose, because the opportunity would likely come this year.
