Former world champion, Manuel "Chango" Vargas will try to become a world champion once again when he takes on Ramon "Principe" Garcia for the Interim WBO jr. Flyweight Championship this Saturday at the "Foro" in Tijuana in a fight that will be telecast live in the United States by Fox Sports Espanol as part of "Top Rank Live" the very popular boxing series.

Vargas (28-5-1, 13 KO's) of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco who is the former Interim WBO 105-pound world champion has won his last to fights and a is slight favorite to beat Garcia (13-1-1, 8 KO's) of Ensenada, who has not face the type of opposition that Vargas has face through his career.

"I am very confident that I will walkout of the ring this Saturday as a world champion once again," said Vargas.

Garcia who is the brother of IBF minimum weight champion Raul Garcia is looking forward to the challenge.

"I know that Vargas is a very experience fighter, but my boxing skills will take me to the victory on Saturday night. It should be a great fight in Tijuana," said Garcia

In the co-main event former WBC world champion Humberto "Betillo" Gutierrez will take on Rene "Chirizo" Gonzalez of Nicaragua in a 10 round super light weight bout.

Gutierrez (27-2-1, 20 KO's) of Los Mochis needs to get a win over Gonzalez (27-2-1, 21 KO's) of Nicaragua to stay on the road towards another world title shot.

The final presser will be Thursday and the weight-in is schedule for Friday at 1:00 p.m. The fight card includes another eight fights.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m.. First bell is at 5:30 p.m. and TV begins live at 7:00 p.m.. (local time). The fights will be televised in a delay basis in Mexico by TV Azteca, "La casa del Boxeo".
